We're looking for a creative and innovative developer to join our rapidly growing design and development team for work on a wide variety of web projects.

This is a full-time position, starting contract-to-hire and/or part-time. We're looking for people living in the Boulder area, though we are open to possible virtual arrangements for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Custom PHP/MySQL coding (e.g., Drupal modules and custom db queries)
• Website architecture planning
• Installation and configuration of Drupal-powered websites
• Patch existing modules for additional functionality
• Basic theme template coding from wireframes
• Security updates
• Bug fixes
• Client contact throughout development process
• Occasional support and maintenance of client sites
• Work closely with other developers and designers
• Active participation in the Drupal development community

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• PHP and MySQL programming/coding knowledge/experience required
• Working knowledge and experience with Drupal strongly preferred (interest and ability to learn Drupal API and participate in the Drupal community required)
• Unix/Linux, Apache, basic server administration knowledge a big plus
• AJAX, Javascript (especially jQuery library), Java, Ruby, *nix, Apache, xml and/or Flash is a definite plus
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Client relations skills for contact by phone, email and IM
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also good at collaboration, taking direction and working with others
• Proficiency in the English language. Multilingual is a plus!

In particular, the ideal applicant will have in-depth knowledge and experience with Drupal API, coding "the Drupal way," but someone with strong general PHP and MySQL programming skills and a strong interest in learning Drupal in and out could find a fit with our team.
