Project Manager

pingVision is now accepting applications for the position of Project Manager.

We're looking for a detail-oriented person who is good at working with people and has experience at managing multiple concurrent development projects.

This is a full-time position. We're looking for people living in the Boulder/Denver area.

Preference is given to qualified individuals having references that can substantiate your
excellent communications and interpersonal skills. College graduates
with leadership and technical backgrounds are desired.

Responsibilities: 
  • Manage multiple concurrent website design and development projects.
  • Assume primary responsibility for project coordination on all projects, including development progress, status reports, resource allocation and budget tracking.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for effective project planning and execution. Coordinate resources across multiple projects. Prioritize work as emergencies and new contingencies arise.
  • Assume budgetary responsibility for project(s).
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues and risks associated with projects managed.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings, plan and evaluate iterations, coordinate QA and deployment tasks.
  • Regularly report status of projects to operations management, including scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Provide feedback to project team leads on project performance as appropriate.
  • Measure and analyze project activities against baseline, recommend early corrections.
  • Establish and maintain standard project documentation and planning for all phases of a project.
  • Consult on and help plan architecture and development of organizational project management processes and system.
  • Client contact throughout development process
  • Active participation in the Drupal development community
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 
  • Solid project management experience. Familiarity / experience in Agile development methodology.
  • PHP and MySQL programming/coding knowledge/experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Drupal a big plus. Interest and ability to learn Drupal API and participate in the Drupal community required.
  • Unix/Linux, Apache, basic server administration knowledge a big plus
  • C, database administration, AJAX, Javascript (especially jQuery library), Java, Ruby, *nix, Apache, xml and/or Flash is a definite plus.
  • Experience working successfully with technical personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and use time efficiently. Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also good at collaboration, taking direction and working with others.
  • Strong customer and communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms, for contact by phone, email and IM.
  • Proficiency in the English language. Multilingual is a plus!
