For the second year now we've won multiple Horizon Interactive Awards for websites we've developed.

Among the winning sites are Popular Science (Gold in the Magazine & News category), RedBlueAmerica (Silver in the Blog category and Bronze in the Magazine & News category), and Spectrum Magazine (Bronze in the Public Service category).

Of course, we developed all of these sites using Drupal, which itself just won repeat honors in the CNET Webware 100 Awards for best publishing platform.

At DrupalCon Boston 2008, we had the great pleasure of winning the grand prize as the Top Showcase Site, for PopSci.com. Because we were so busy making presentations and otherwise engaged in the incredible DrupalCon sessions, winning this was an unexpected surprise. The submissions were judged by Chris Bryant, Scott Mattoon (Sun Microsystems) and Fish McGill (Harmonix). Sun posted the ad hoc post-plenary interview here.

On Friday, we stole about 10 minutes from a very busy day to unbox the Sun SPARC Enterprise T1000 server that was the prize. Wow!

Our Horizon Awards arrived yesterday. Each is about 5" in diameter and maybe 1.5" thick. Pretty cool!

Today we received word that two of our designs were award winners in the Horizon Interactive Awards.


The BlogHer community website, which we developed over a year ago, is a Gold Winner in the 2007 Blog category.
