Drupalgive

At PINGV, we love Drupal and have been developing websites with it for years. We give back to the community through contributing Drupal modules, Drupal themes and code patches on Drupal.org, writing documentation, helping others in IRC and issue queues, sharing knowledge online and at events, sponsoring Drupal events, and helping the Drupal community be more effective at making Drupal better. Here are some highlights:

Contributed patch to Metatag module

This minor change removes outdated on-screen help text regarding Twitter cards. Patch was accepted and committed today: http://drupal.org/node/1970946

Sponsoring DrupalCon Portland code sprints

Code sprints at large Drupal events are major R&D opportunities for collaboration, cooperation, problem solving, brainstorming, strategizing, recruiting, all to make Drupal better. We are delighted to pitch in supporting this important work.

Patched Mozilla Persona module

This promising new way for users to sign into sites had a critical bug. Coded up a patch in this issue. Check out the module.

Sponsoring DrupalCon Portland

We're proud to be sponsors of DrupalCon Portland. This is the prime annual Drupal event in North America, and the largest worldwide. Fabulous sessions, training workshops, and keynote speakers are the draw. The core conversations and code sprints are the nitty gritty. As far as tech conferences go, this is reasonably affordable, in large part because of the support of event sponsors. We're glad to do our bit.

Drupal.org content work

Collaborated with Megan Sanicki and Holly Ross of the Drupal Association, along with community members, on the "site builder" persona of Drupal.org visitors. Sharpening focus.

Square Grid 7.x-3.0-alpha6 released

Some small changes to add the HTML5 MAIN element and revise the meta viewport values for better consistency across mobile devices.

Implementation of hook_field_validate for geofield 2.x

Patch implementing hook_validate for geofield http://drupal.org/node/1857940

Update Gigya integration so node-type specific / non-default settings work.

Quick patch update:

Fix node-type specific comment settings was submitted upstream to Gigya; without this patch, using non-default comment container markup (ex. panels) would cause the Gigya comments integration to break due to code bugs.

Square Grid 7.x-3.0-alpha5 released

This release incorporates some new features: Configuration option to include html5shiv; configuration option to designate "web app" mode for iOS browsers. http://drupal.org/node/1853156

Square Grid 7.x-3.0-alpha4 released

This release includes some clarification of documentation, and a small code change.

Pathologic 7.x-2.7

The latest release of Pathologic attempts to solve a bug occurring on some multi-lingual sites.

Square Grid theme 7.x-3.0-alpha3

Added some settings for main content displaying without sidebars, and did some markup adjustments to afford better semantics and SMACSS approaches.

Square Grid theme 7.x-3.0-alpha2

Alpha 2 is out with a few code improvements and better code samples for modification by themers. http://drupal.org/node/1843584

Square Grid theme HTML5 version alpha release

The first stable release of the HTML5 version of Square Grid embodies a complete refactoring of layout structure, cleaned-up css and markup, and more robust configuration settings. See http://drupal.org/node/1841186.

Pathologic 2.6

Pathologic 2.6 squishes two more bugs/corner cases.

Pathologic 2.5

Pathologic 2.5 fixes a bug of its own, works around a core bug, and also has some generally cleaner code in a couple spots. Also, I did some investigating into said core bug, though I couldn't fix it myself.

Microdata patch to Date module

Commissioned metadata expert Lin Clark to write patch to Date module to enable microdata output. Tested and RTBC by Alex.

Pathologic 2.4

This new release of Pathologic has a big new feature - the ability to alter its behavior with an alter hook. See the pathologic.api.php file in the module directory for documentation.

Scoville - New contributed module

Promoted the Scoville project from a sandbox to a proper project; published documentation page. Scoville works like the Radioactivity module, but is far simpler to configure, and that configuration process is much better documented.
