Our own website

We applied our own methdologies in planning, designing and development our website.

The Challenge

We needed a new website to establish PINGV Creative, and we needed it quickly.

What We Did

Our strategy as a strategy and design house was simple: We needed a site to not only get out our message, but embody it.

After some initial Information Architecture, we started working up design ideas. The designs presented here represent but a few of all we went through. Ultimately we went for ever more simplicity ... and then embellished with color.

From the start, we worked within the 960 grid system, allowing us to work quickly through wireframing, design and front-end development. Of course we built the site using Drupal 6.

Design comp of early PINGV.com designOne early design concept, rejected because of contrast issues and the background competing with the main carousel area.

Design comp of early PINGV.com designAnother early design spread the carousel images the full width of the browser. Rejected due to image sizes. The footer was an attempt at getting more information down there. Ultimately rejected as an approach.

Design comp of early PINGV.com designWe also looked at going the giant footer route, but rejected it for overcomplicating our pages. We may revisit this later.
